Wall, graphite, metal pins
I use the wall as my canvas because its presence provides the absolute integration of foreground and background. The piece, which predominantly uses holes, are deepened and darkened by a graphite pencil, allowing the viewer to experience the absence of a concrete material and consider the inside and outside of this existing space as well as the surface. It straddles the border between sculpture and drawing.
It is followed by a series of related work.
