Diamonds In The Sky is a site-specific hanging sculpture. It was created to capture the surrounding environment of natural light as well as artificial light. The materials used are repurposed glass, colored wire, and acrylic shapes to reflect and echo the surroundings of the site; sky, water and sun.
I am interested in developing a dialogue with materials to inform the outcome of each piece. The use of these materials is seductive and feeds my focus on beauty, danger, and reflected light.
It is obvious that we can no more explain a passion to
a person who has never experienced it than we can
explain light to the blind.
